Meeurots Restaurant is a West Coast Restaurant specializing in hearty seafood and steak. The restaurant gets it name from the large rock in Yzerfontein and is situated in the most picturesque of seaside settings.
Meeurots is family owned by the husband and wife team, Willie and Corné Visagie, who pride themselves on providing quality food and excellent service to all their patrons. We are a family restaurant where good food and times are important. The business person and family of five feel equally at home, enjoying a good meal.
We specialize in seafood, where our Hake and Chips is a firm favorite. We are also serving a Seafood Platter for One, Line fish of the day as well as other seafood dishes such as garlic mussels, prawns, and calamari.
For the meat lover, we served sirloin or rump steak prepared to perfection, the way you like it. Fancy a rib instead of steak, we serve both pork ribs and beef ribs. Another favorite is an Eisbein grilled to perfection. As an alternative, we also serve Chicken Corden Bleu or a Chicken Schnitzel. Our pizzas are thin crust with a variety of toppings, prepared and made on premises.
We have a good variety of local wines. Guests are welcome to bring their own bottle of wine for a small corkage fee. We also have Darling Brew on tap for those who enjoy an ice-cold draught.
We are family friendly, offering high chairs for toddlers to sit in. The restaurant is cozy and informal, allowing the patrons to relax and feel at home while enjoying their meals. Ample parking is available.
We are open daily from 10:00 to 15:00 and from 18:00 till late. On Sundays, we are open between 12:00 and 15:00.
